Our organic juniper berry hydrolate for detergents originates from a plant of the species Juniperus communis. The liquid is known under the name Juniper Berry organic hydrolate for detergents. Botanical science assigns the species to the Cupressaceae family. Only the ripe fruits are used as raw material, and each fruit is a female cone with fully fused scales and a dense, uniform fleshy mass. At first the cones have a reddish appearance, while the ripe ones reach a blue-black color with a waxy bloom. The trees grow in Bulgaria under organic rules and without synthetic agents. Steam distillation of the ripe, unfermented fruits keeps the scent clean, since no solvents are added during the extraction, and the volatile part originates from the fruit itself. The oxygenated volatile compounds pass into the liquid aqueous part, and it is precisely these that set the aromatic direction. The aroma maintains a strong level of expression. The fresh pine side receives a resinous complement in the overall scent. Monoterpene hydrocarbons fill the entire volatile fraction, and pinene, myrcene and sabinene stand out among them. The product remains a clear liquid, and its color varies within narrow limits between colorless and pale yellow. The fruit as raw material determines the faint color, because the water takes up mainly colorless particles, while the pigments remain beneath the very scales of the cone. The organic composition remains free of preservatives and colorants. Storage
